Beach Wedding Photography in Cornwall
Wedding Photos on a Beach
Fabulous beaches in Cornwall for innovative wedding photographs are very close to where I live there's
Gwithian Beach over 3 miles of beach at the furthest point is Godrevey featuring a small beach with a
lighthouse that's nearby. If you're getting married in or near Hayle Cornwall then a trip to this beach is a
must. The rolling sand dunes in Cornwall will also be great for your wedding photography.
Beach wedding photography at St
Ives and Carbis Bay is very popular. Carbis Bay Hotel overlooks Carbis Bay Beach where I have
photographed many couples and the wedding photos taken on the beach have often been the couples favourite.
Tregenna Castle is near the wonderful beaches at St Ives; Porthminster Beach, Porthgwidden Beach and
Porthmeor Beach which is opposite the famous Tate Gallery.
Beach wedding photography is one of my (and my couples) favourite aspects of wedding photography. The
beaches always look unique as the lighting, tide, colour of the sea, the colour of the sky and cloud
formation all vary from day to day and from hour to hour. The sky reflects light into the sea which together
with the sea depth will tint the colour. The wonderful sight whilst you stand on a beach and watch the Bride
and her Groom enjoy a stroll along the water's edge is magical. The beach scenes often take my breath away.
There is nothing quite like spending some time on a beach with the Bride and Groom as they enjoy some
quality time together. It enables me to capture very special intimate moments, the feelings and emotions of
which will be rekindled whenever the couple look at their beach wedding photos.
One of my Brides initially said that she wasn't that fussed about having photos taken on a beach. I
suggested that as it wouldn't take very long and if we did do some beach wedding photography she would have
the choice and if she didn't like them it wouldn't have taken much time out of the wedding day schedule.
Well, I shall always remember her face when she came to collect her album and whilst looking through it came
to the beach photos. She turned to me and with excitement in her eyes said the beach photos are my
favourites and to think I wasn't going to bother going to a beach, I'm so glad that I did. Her husband
agreed.
I tend to do the beach wedding photos in the early evening as I prefer the lovely long shadows you get
later on in the day plus the beaches do not have many people on them even if it has been a very sunny day.
By the evening time those that have been on the beach for most of the day tend to leave to have their
evening meal. Your beach wedding photographs do not have to have masses of holiday makers in the background.
Beach wedding photographs are processed in a special way to create very vibrant photos; the colours of
which will look totally amazing. The skies are often reworked and enhanced with some photographs being
converted into black and white. Technically, beach wedding photography can be challenging, however I have
developed many different styles of taking photos of couples on beaches that create a special, dramatic
collection of photographs. Wedding photography on beaches by one of the leading beach wedding photographers
