I had to see a couple in Truro and was delighted when they booked me to photograph their wedding; being in Truro I thought I’d pop in to the Hall for Cornwall wedding Fayre where I met up with Bob from Strawberry Leisure who was showing his VW Camper Vans; he was frozen even though he had his thermals on. On one side of Bob was a white Range Rover Sport and on the other side a vintage touring car. It’s amazing how much choice couples have these days for their wedding transport.
It was great to catch up with some photographers I know like David Wilcocks and his wife both looked really fit and well, Helen Barnecutt who doesn’t age at all and Dan of Light Box Photography in Truro and to meet some new faces; Rickie Staple from Padstow, Victoria Studios at Newquay and Loveday Photography.
The wedding Fayre was very quiet. The last time I went to the show was about 3 years ago when it was rammed with people. Nearly all the exhibitors were either photographers, wedding venues or wedding dress retailers. It was good to see Amy from The Alverton Manor Hotel in Truro, Will from the spectacular Tregenna Castle at St Ives, Rebecca from the Harbour Hotel the Porthminster at St Ives, Tina and Marta from the Carlyon Bay Hotel at St Austell.
It was great to see Di and Hannah, who both looked elegant as always, from Vu’s Bridal Boutique; haven’t seen them for ages and Brendan from Wed Magazine; I’m so thrilled for Brendan and Rebecca with the success of their Wed Cornwall Magazine and Wed Devon Magazine
Time flew by for Jacky and I; we both thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone and we left at about 4pm as people were starting to pack up.
I’m looking forward to the wedding Fayre at Tregenna Castle on March 11th which is being organised by Cornish Brides and the Wed wedding Fayre at Gonwin Manor on Sunday 14th April I think there will be about 85 exhibitors so should be a busy one.
